Black Refractory Putty 1250º – VITCAS

VITCAS BLACK FIREPUTTY is a smooth paste that hardens when exposed to air. It has excellent adhesion to refractory bricks, blocks, stones, clays and almost all metals. Initially it is most effective for use on small repairs, cracks less than 5mm and to form a smoke and gas sealant for joints.

Applications :  

• Seal metal to metal joints
• Seal the joints between the chimney draft and stoves with thermal ropes.
• Install or repair stoves, ovens and boilers

• Assembly of steel stoves, kitchens, boilers with hearth.

Application:

Make sure the area is clean and all dirt, dust, rust and grease have been removed. Cut off the top of the cartridge, screw on the nozzle and cut the nozzle to the size required. Moisten the surface where the material is to be applied. apply it using
the cartridge gun. The material will set at room temperature but the time would be reduced by lighting the fire or applying heat, gradually increasing it to over 4 hours. After hardening any small cracks that appear in the cement should be filled with the same material to ensure a tight seal all around.
